Meet Laurence Golden, DDS, MSD
Dr. Golden graduated at the top of his class from Northwestern University Dental School as well as at the top of his orthodontic residency program at Case Western Reserve University, where he was awarded the residency’s highest honor, the ‘Clinical Excellence Award.’ Dr. Golden was selected among all Chicago-area orthodontists and appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, Department of Orthodontics in 2005. Dr. Golden has practiced in Wheaton and taught orthodontic residents for almost 20 years!
Dr. Golden earned the distinction of Invisalign® Top 1% Diamond Provider, in 2020, placing him among the top one percent of all Invisalign practitioners in North America based on experience! Dr. Golden won the National Invisalign Competition for orthodontic professors and orthodontic residents in 2016, 2018, and 2020 called the “Invisalign Shoot-Out!” This is a competition of very difficult cases treated very well with Invisalign!
Dr. Golden loves braces too and his braces cases are regularly used by his residents when they present 'before & after' presentations for graduation!
Dr. Golden teaches Dental Esthetics & is also responsible for the entire introduction to Clear Aligner Therapy for all University of Illinois-Chicago dental students. Dr. Golden lectures on a multitude of orthodontic topics to the orthodontic residents in addition to guiding their patient care.
Dr. Golden combines the most recent evidence-based treatment with clinical experience to create a customized plan for each person. Our office is about excellence!
Dr. Golden grew up on the the Northwest side of Chicago. He is an Eagle Scout, coached a swim team of one hundred swimmers (ages 4-18) for four years, cheers as a die hard Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, & Hawks fan (even has a soft spot for the South siders), and dotes on his wife and daughter.
